About me

🌿

I would firstly like to begin by thanking you in all sincerity, for taking the time to read this-I understand life is all consuming, and your personal time is precious, so thank you.

Secondly, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Nicole, I live in North Queensland, Australia-A beautiful part of the world literally bordered by The Great Barrier Reef and Tropical Rain forest-for this, I am grateful.

I am a nurse.

A profession that has irreversibly changed my perceptions of life in general. It is a career that has tested me, in so many complicated ways and has taught me many things-Gratitude, patience and impatience, compassion and disregard, acceptance and non-acceptance-but mostly, the importance of self care.

I am blessed to have two beautiful boys- A teenager and an almost teenager-they also, have irreversibly changed who I am as a person. I guess if I’m truly honest, I never expected that to happen to the extent that it has.

Witnessing their precious souls evolve is a truly humbling experience. At times, the need for consistent selflessness can render resentment, yet I find myself over and over, being pulled back into a new appreciation for them as they teach me the important lessons in life, just by being them.

-until the day I die they will be my greatest achievement.

My husband-I love you more than all the grains of sand, on all the beaches in the world, to the power of ten, multiplied by infinity-Thank you for saving me.

If this connection is our last, I leave you with these words;

Be brave, be imperfect, be honest, be raw, be vulnerable, be controversial-lean over the precipice and challenge your limits, for it is only there, that you will truly find yourself.

Warmly,

Nicole

      1. Hi again Nicole, I just noticed this reply to my comment and it made me smile. I live in Melbourne and at this time of the year when the sun shines down with any warmth it is a minor miracle. But thank you any way. xx

      1. Simply the best! I’ve only had Labs as canine companions my entire life. I’m hooked on and committed to the breed. Presently I have two, Logan and Bailey, soon to be 7 and 5 respectively. Both are rescues. A great day returned, Nicole.

  5. Thanks for stopping by Nicole and following my blog.” Be brave, be imperfect, be honest, be raw, be vulnerable, be controversial-lean over the precipice and challenge your limits,” is what I write about in my poems. You make like one particular poem “Free To Be Me”. I look forward to revisiting your words and thoughts.

  6. Thank you for following my blog, Nicole. I have written about workplace bullying and it’s devastating impact on people’s career and their lives from my personal experience.
Glad to connect with you and I would like to read more from your perspective too. Keep in touch.

  7. “… but now, I am confident and proud, that I have finally found the courage to be me.” Isn’t that a lovely experience when you break out free and be yourself! πŸ™‚ I too had this moment.
