Ten minute free write

This really IS going to be a free write.

I am going to do my best to keep editing out of it, as I’m interested to see how it feels to keep writing uninterrupted, as my thoughts flow freely.

My chosen prompt is COLOUR

I’m glad I have this topic because colour and shapes are vital to my creativity.

I can literally spend hours mixing and matching colours of a post, until I’m satisfied, and I feel it reflects the specific energy I am attempting to portray.

Bright colours, matching colours and contrasting colours, catch my eye and not only determine how I feel about a particular object containing that colour, but determine whether or not I will also reject it, simply based on its    Colour.

Does this make me a ‘colourist?’

Is this even a word?

If it is a word, then I’m definitely  a c0lourist!

For example, you’ll rarely catch me choosing something brown, if red or blue are available. I’m not a fan of black, or white for that matter, and dull mixes of greys and pastels feel drab and depressing.

Hence my choice of the stunning image above by RURO PHOTOGRAPHY It’s a magnificent purple. It stood out for me, and the artistry in it’s design is also exquisite, another eye catcher.

So there you have it.

Colour is very important to me.

Give me fire engine RED

Sunflower YELLOW

Amost any shade of BLUE

Bright fluorescent GREEN

Orange, ORANGE

Pretty PINK

and we’re in business 😉
