DAY 36-The photo that says it all.

To say that Mark Blewett and the #CAROCAP team are exhausted is possibly the biggest understatement of the year. They’ve spent over 35 days riding an average of 300 km per day in their attempt to cross the African continent in under 42 days. They look set to smash this record by 4 days, reaching Cape Town on Sunday. Come and join us at the V&A Waterfront at 6 pm to welcome them home!’~Swift Carbon bikes

I’m posting more regular updates now as they approach Cape Town.

Still due to arrive on Sunday, they appear a little ahead of schedule to me, as they power the kilometres today.

Exhaustion is evident.

I can almost feel the pain looking at this, oh my Lord, may the finish line come quickly.

‘Last night the team tried to ride through the night but it didn’t work out. By 3.00am they were just too tired, and had to sleep roadside. They’re on their way again now, in the middle of the Karoo, and making their way towards Three Sisters. Less than 700km to go…’-Carocap

    1. Hi Mary,

They have estimated that it will be approximately 5-6pm on Sunday evening, although, this may change. I will be sure to keep everyone informed, as I know.

      Cheers,

      Nicole
