It appears the team may be having difficulty as they struggle to navigate their way through the dirt roads of Tanzania. The events that have lead them to this predicament are unclear, however our guess is they’ve either taken a wrong turn and are off track, or their so called sealed road has revealed itself as a goat track more suited to mountain biking.
It is important to note, this transference of news is a result of limited communication and potentially inaccurate assumptions on our behalf as we attempt to piece together their exciting journey as it unfolds. It should therefore by no means be viewed as an accurate report of events.
This little mishap, whether it be unfavourable road conditions or navigational issues, has disrupted their plan to make it to Dodoma, their destination for Day 23.
GPS tracking indicates they’ve been stationary for some time and are positioned in an unknown location well short of Dodoma.
Perhaps a well earned rest, a good nights sleep and a fresh mind was the intention of a higher power.
Day 24 in the saddle will be interesting as they face another gruelling day on hot Tanzanian roads.
‘Their legs are machines, as they leave the African dust behind them.’
Day 23 done guys. Well done.
Day 24 is a new day.
STAY TUNED for the next update as soon as it is available.
